The Agbogbomefia of Asogli, Togbe Afede, has reiterated his commitment to youth empowerment, calling on traditional authorities and development partners to prioritize innovation-led entrepreneurship. He made this call during the grand finale of the Asogli State Youth Empowerment Forum, where 260 thousand cedis promising youth-led enterprises were awarded grants.
The Programme was held at the Ho Technical University Auditorium, the event drew over 300 participants, including entrepreneurs, aspiring business leaders, and development partners. The forum is part of a broader initiative aimed at building a resilient entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Volta Region and beyond.
Togbe Afede described the finalist business ideas as a "beacon of hope" for the region's future. Out of 284 applications, eight businesses were selected to receive innovation grants after a rigorous review process.
The Asogli Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Day 2025 served as an annual flagship platform to promote innovation, mentorship, and investment opportunities for young people. Participants benefited from keynote addresses, hands-on development sessions, and guidance on future grant applications.
The National Coordinator of the National Apprenticeship Program, Nicodemus Dery commended the Asogli initiative and pledged ongoing government support to scale the winning ventures nationwide. The eight grant recipients were lauded for their boldness and dedication, with organizers urging them to use this opportunity to inspire others through enterprise and innovation.
