ASANTE AKYEM NORTH: STUDENTS CAUTIONED TO STAY AWAY FROM DRUGS

Students have been advised to stay away from drug-use in order to safeguard their future and achieve their goals.

The caution was given by Nana Kwaku Yeboah Kankam, Asante Juaben Aboafuohene during the Ashanti Regional 2025 Inter Schools Cultural competition held at Agogo State College SHS in Agogo in the Asante Akyem North Municipal.

Nana explained the impact of drug abuse on their health, education and overall well-being.

He also cautioned them against teenage pregnancy.

The inter-school cultural competition was organized into zones where students from basic schools in Bosome Freho, Juaben, Ejisu, Asante Akyem Central, South and North municipalities competed against each other in various cultural activities.

The competitions were designed to showcase diverse talents, promote cultural awareness, and foster friendly rivalry among schools.

They often involve performances in areas like music, dance, drama, and traditional art forms.

Madam Doris Opokua, Cultural Coordinator for Asante Akyem North Education directorate stressed the need for Ghanaians to uphold the rich cultural values and practices of the country.
