In moments when words feel insufficient and hearts are weighed down by loss, love has a way of speaking louder than pain. This was evident during the one-week observation held in honor of two cherished lives: Obaapanin Akosua Amponfi (Auntie Akosua), aged 72, and Obaa Yaa Serwaa (Babina), aged 52. Mothers, sisters, and pillars of their family, their memories remain deeply engraved in the hearts of all who knew them.
The period of mourning was undeniably filled with tears and unbearable sorrow. Yet, amidst the grief, there was also a profound outpouring of compassion, unity, and support from friends, family, and sympathizers. Their presence—whether physical or spiritual—became a source of strength during a season of weakness.
Through prayers lifted when words failed, kind messages that soothed broken hearts, and generous support given emotionally, spiritually, and financially, the bereaved family was constantly reminded that they were not alone. Every visit, every phone call, every tear shed together served as a powerful reminder of shared humanity and love.
Though the family may never be able to fully repay the kindness shown, they hold onto the belief that God, who sees all things, will richly reward everyone who stood with them. It is their earnest prayer that the comfort freely given to them will return to each supporter in times of need, just as they were comforted in their darkest hours.
As funeral arrangements are announced for Saturday and Sunday, 11th–12th April 2026, at Offinso-Namong near the SHS, the family warmly invites all friends and sympathizers to join them once more—not only to mourn, but also to celebrate lives well lived and the enduring bond of community.
From the depths of grateful hearts, the family says thank you.
May the souls of the departed rest in perfect peace, and may God richly bless all who shared in their journey of love, loss, and remembrance.
