The Good Book (Bible) encourages us to help one another as Galatians 6:2, says "Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ". Hebrews 13:16 instructs, "And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased".
One of the vibrant Children Service Teachers of the Methodist Church Ghana who also served in the Youth ministry in the Wesley Society, Akim Anyinasin and the Maase Circuit, Mr. Charles Danso, well known as Ofa Koo is in critical condition which needs urgent help.
Ofa Koo suffered from anal cancer which has led to diversion of his big intestine from his anus to his lower abdomen
Due to this situation, Mr Charles Danso's condition worsened day in and day out due to huge debt on the family as seen in the pictures
Proverbs 19:17:
"Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and the Lord will reward them for their good deed".
James 1:27 says
"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world".
Currently as we speak, Mr Charles Danso's sister, Madam Mary Danso who's taking care of him has confirmed that a donation has been made by the Wesley Society of Akim Anyinasin Methodist Church Ghana distant members but it's not enough.
The family of Ofa Koo has already spent almost Ghc 50,000 which was borrowed to do the surgery and others.
Ofa Koo and his family's contribution to the Methodist Church Ghana is unmeasurable.
Just to mention few, Ofa Koo started Anyinasin Methodist Sunday School from scratch and has train a lot o people in which some of them are leaders of the Methodist Church Ghana Nation wide.
He was part and parcel of the establishment of Anyinasin Methodist Youth ministry.
Pls let's do this to honor God: Helping others is seen as a sacrifice that is pleasing to God.
To fulfill Christ's law: Jesus commanded his followers to love one another, and bearing each other's burdens is a way to do that.
To be a blessing: There is a blessing associated with helping others, as it brings good to both the giver and receiver.
