On Tuesday, 16th September 2025, a significant milestone was achieved in the Assin Central Constituency as Hon. Nurien Migyimah Shaibu David Ba, the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, led the official handing-over ceremony of successful CPA (Community Policing Assistants) beneficiaries to the Assin Foso Divisional Police Command.
The ceremony was held in the presence of Mr. Elijah Owusu, Director of the Assin Foso Municipal Youth Empowerment Authority, alongside the entire leadership of the Assin Central Constituency National Democratic Congress (NDC), led by the Constituency Secretary. The event marks a key step in the ongoing effort to promote youth empowerment, enhance community security, and foster stronger collaboration between the police and the people.

Speaking at the ceremony, Hon. Nurien Migyimah Shaibu David Ba expressed his profound gratitude to all stakeholders involved in the successful implementation of the CPA initiative. He commended the beneficiaries for their dedication throughout the selection and training process and encouraged them to serve their communities with integrity, professionalism, and a deep sense of responsibility.
Mr. Elijah Owusu highlighted the importance of youth involvement in national security and praised the CPA program as a strategic platform for empowering young people while strengthening grassroots policing. He assured the Divisional Police Command of the commitment of the Youth Empowerment Authority to continue providing support to ensure the effectiveness of the program.
