CRIME:ARMED ROBBERS KILLS 2 GALAMSEYERS, 1 INJURED AT SUBRI NKWANTA.

 

A tragic incident has occurred at Subri Nkwanta under Kojina electoral area of the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai municipality where armed robbers shot a Chinese(boss) and a Ghanaian(driver) illegal miners dead including their body guard who is severely injured.

The Assembly Member for Kojina electoral area, Hon. FRANK ADDAE speaking with AkuapemHann, explained that the robbers attacked and shot the miners through their vehicle's windscreen on their way to Subri Nkwanta from their mining site.

The unidentified robbers bolted with the gold extract the miners have hustled for the day.

According to the assembly member, the incident was reported to the police where they retrieved the bodies for preservation at mortuary adding that the MCE as the head of the Municipal Security Council has also been informed about the incident and further assured his electorates to live without fear and panic as they have beef up security in the area to avert further crime.

"I quite remember that" synonymous incident happened at Ntakam some time ago "but I wasn't an assembly member then", he stated while praying the people to detach themselves from illegal mining in the area and assist the government in its fight against the national canker in order to foster responsible mining.
