"We are no longer making a follow-up on the court case," said Maame Akosua Ampomaa, who lost her sister and brother on February 1, 2024.

On February 1, 2024, at exactly 5 a.m., a suspect, Kwasi Boakye, killed the late Kwasi Antwi and Akua Dwowaa in a village called Adwumasu near Osuben, a suburban community in the Kwahu South Municipal . Both of the deceased are siblings.

The suspect ran away and hid himself in a bush for about two days; later, he was arrested on February 4, 2024, in the Kwasi-Ofori area, between Mpraeso and Bepong. The sister of the two deceased, Maame Akosua Ampomaa, said that the family has stopped following up on the case.

Maame Akosua Ampomaa, speaking to the media, said that because the family doesn't have money to pursue the case, that is why the case is not progressing. She further stated that the eyewitness, who was going to the farm and heard a noise, further approached the scene at 5 a.m. while the suspect, Kwasi Boakye, was killing the deceased, Kwasi Antwi and Akua Dwowaa, has not been invited by the police for further investigation.

A son of the late Madam Akua Dwowaa, Isaac Kwame Boateng, said that he has been attending court since last year, 2024, but nothing has come of it.

After the suspect killed his mother and uncle, a delegation from the government visited them. But since their first visit to the family, no delegation from the government or security agencies has visited them again, prompting him to call on the government to take action.
