The President of the National House of Chiefs, Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi, has expressed concern over the scarcity of land for farming. At a one-day workshop on Engagement with Standing Committees of the National House of Chiefs, he urged the government to compensate landowners fairly when acquiring their farmlands for government purposes.

Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi also cautioned against animals grazing on food crops, which is against the law, and called on the government to designate areas for animal grazing. Furthermore, he emphasized the need for surveyors to conduct proper demarcations to resolve land disputes across the country.
Meanwhile, the Consultant of the Lands Commission, Dr. Wordsworth Odame Larbi, highlighted the importance of educating traditional leaders about the new land policy and strategies for addressing land disputes. He noted that traditional leaders have expressed concerns and are seeking solutions that will benefit future generations.
