The National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters of Evalue-Ajomoro-Gwira constituency have strongly denied allegations that their Constituency Chairman, Mr. Emmanuel Ennorkofi, is involved in galamsey (illegal mining) activities.

At a press conference, King Philip, the Constituency Communication Officer, categorically denied the allegations, stating that they are completely false and unfounded.

He said some of the NDC members in the constituency has joined hands with the opposition to destroy the good name of the chairman due the vacant MCE position.

"Some people think that if the MCE position is given to a certain woman among the nominated ones it will benefit chairman Ennorkofi's business hence trying to destroy his name", King added.

He asked the media houses to make their findings from the Minerals Commission if Chairman Ennorkofi's small scale mining company is not registered

Some constituents also shared their perspectives, expressing their support for the Chairman and dismissing the allegations as baseless.

It's worth noting that the NDC has been actively involved in promoting development in the region. For instance, a group called Concerned Citizens of Northern Gwira recently appealed for fair political representation in Nzema East, highlighting the need for balanced development in the area

The rebuttal by the NDC supporters emphasizes the importance of verifying information before making accusations, especially in the realm of politics.
