Vice President Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has triumphantly returned to Ghana, marking the culmination of her medical leave in the United Kingdom, where she underwent comprehensive treatment.

This momentous occasion follows President John Dramani Mahama's heartfelt expression of relief and gratitude for her recuperation during his Thank You Tour in Dodowa on May 16.

In a reassuring announcement, President Mahama had foreshadowed the Vice President's imminent return, stating,

"I'm happy to state that I spoke to her yesterday morning, and she will be back in the country before the end of next week. By God's grace, she is fully recovered and she's going to come and go back to her duties." This pronouncement dispelled lingering concerns and speculation surrounding her health.

The Vice President's well-being had been the subject of intense public scrutiny, with unfounded rumors circulating about her possible demise. However, government officials, including the articulate Government Spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu, had steadfastly affirmed her good health, effectively quelling the speculation.

Upon her return, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang is set to resume her esteemed duties as Vice President, bringing solace to the country and ardent NDC supporters.
