Famous Ghanaian actor and TV personality Akwasi Boadi, known as Akrobeto, was in a car accident on Friday, May 23, while heading to Kumasi. The crash happened near Konongo, a busy town along the Accra-Kumasi highway, which is known for heavy traffic and frequent accidents.
Witnesses say Akrobeto's car collided with a large truck, and the situation is still being looked into.
At the time of the accident, Akrobeto was alone in his vehicle. Emergency responders arrived quickly, and although the crash caused significant damage, he fortunately did not suffer any life-threatening injuries. Images and videos from the scene show the front of his car was badly damaged, indicating a serious impact.
No other injuries have been reported. The police have not yet released an official statement about what caused the accident or if any other drivers are being questioned.
It's still unclear if the crash was due to bad road conditions, mechanical problems, or human error.
