MLGWUI theme for 2025 is "Governments & Employers Supporting Migrant Workers with Decent Work and Workers Education: Best Practices in Labour Migration*"

The MLGWUI is an international trade union/labour migration organisation promoting Access to Labour Justice and Decent Work for Migrant Workers and Returned Migrants and Potential Migrant Workers including Refugees Workers.

To enable us achieve our access to labour justice in labour migration rights and decent work education, the following are considered for 2026.

1. MLGWUI urgently appeals to African governments, employers and project funding organisations for Migrant Workers and Returned Migrants education training and employment.

2. MLGWUI urgently appeals for rescuing and repatriation funding support for Abused, Vulnerable and, Imprisoned, Victimised Migrant Workers abroad to their countries of origin.

3. MLGWUI urgently appeals financial support for spacious office/land renting advance in Accra Region for MLGWUI AFRICAN MIGRANT WORKERS' REINTEGRATION CENTRE (AMWRAC)  as committed to general migrant workers' information, data, pre-departure orientation counselling, psychosocial counselling, investigating grievances, negotiating conditions of services, providing legal assistance, rescuing victimised, vulnerable, imprisoned  migrants, facilitating repatriation, and buying returning flight tickets,  welcoming returning migrant workers, offering reintegration support and business training with assisting employment through comprehensive services.

4. MLGWUI calls on African Head of States especially Ghana to sign  International Labour Migration Agreement for  Migrant Workers whose services are demanding in receiving Countries or States globally including all Gulf Cooperation Council States if they cannot provide decent work employment for their citizens home.

5. MLGWUI keenly observed as a labour discrimination for the Ghana government offering  international employment for its' citizens which favours only professional/skilled Migrant Workers but  eliminated Skilled Migrant Domestic Workers as essential workers mostly needed abroad.

6. MLGWUI is urgently as all private employment agencies or associations to join or have agreements with MLGWUI on recruitment sending, transit, receiving, rescuing and repatriation or returning relating matters to avoid their client/sent Migrant Workers' abuse and exploitation, unwarranted imprisonment when grievances occurred.

7. Point 5 above could reduce international labour migration grievances and social complaints to MLGWUI or Labour Department or labour and Foreign Ministries.

8. MLGWUI urgently asking Migrant (foreign) Workers in Ghana, Africa and global to join MLGWUI for their labour rights and decent work protection.

9. MLGWUI applauds Anti-Human Trafficking Unit of Ghana Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for warm reception of labour migration human trafficking victims' families complaints and public petitions for amicable redress.

9. MLGWUI urgently appeals to Ghana National Security especially CID to invite and investigate social Tictok media Blogger Mr Peter Awuah (known as Nakwam TV) for fraudulent activities acting as national security with private uniform  and claims as Journalist deceiving, threatening extorting money from victimised Female Migrant Domestic Workers abroad and perpetrated agents by illegally using our names MLGWUI and Cde Justice and CID for his fame and recognition.  He, Peter Awuah used to tell victims and their families and recruiting perpetrators that he works for MLGWUI and CID.

10. His real name is Peter Awuah, but he registered his mobile money transfer MoMo as  Vida Zotorglo money fraud transactions.

11.  MLGWUI emphatically stated, that Mr Peter Awuah (Nakwam TV) is  NOT a staff or partner of MLGWUI.  His first encountered with MLGWUI was at the funeral of Ghanaian Migrant Worker at Namong when Comrade Justice represented because he, in the name of MLGWUI facilitated repatriation of the Remain/body from Saudi Arabia for the family burial services in Ghana. Mr Peter Awuah with Nakwam TV interviewed Cde Justice and until Cde Justice realised, Nakwam TV published him on Nakwam TV tictok. All efforts of warning were made, but Peter Awuah refused to remove such published  from his platform. Despite several warnings, he is still using MLGWUI and CID for his recognition.

12. MLGWUI informs the Africa and global  that its' grievance investigations, rescuing, legal assistance, repatriation and reintegration support are free of charge as social responsibilities of a trade union/labour migration organisation since inception in 2002 and has international grievance complaints redress and safe return of 161 only for 2024-2025 year.

13. African and Ghanaian Migrant Workers and members of their families should be careful in transacting business or seeking assistance from the said fraudster bloggers especially Nakwam TV.
