Achimota Basic 2 Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) is actively supporting the building of school infrastructure, including multi-story classroom blocks and assembly hall and library to improve the quality of education and address infrastructure needs.
According to the PTA, the school came under general management of GES by the former minister, Dr. Osei Yaw Adutwum the status of infrastructure for the School has been bad .
Speaking with the media in a visit to the school after 5 years under the general management of GES at Achimota in Accra, PTA chairman, Very Rev. Maxwell Kwaku Obeng explained that
the goal of these projects is to create a conducive and modern learning environment, which directly contributes to improved academic performance, better student attendance, and overall educational development.

He noted that the PTA only raises funds through dues and levies to finance school development projects, which can range from building new classrooms and expanding dining halls.
He lamented that, over years the PTA has actively supported and initiated school building projects, including washroom structures, paving the school compound to improve infrastructure and educational quality.
He however called for support to address infrastructure challenges, emphasizing the need for collaboration from individuals and corporate organizations.
He therefore said, he constantly appeal to the public to contribute towards quality education and then again to tackle the school significant infrastructure deficit.
The contractor at the site, Mr. Emmanuel Tetteh also explained that challenges such as financial difficulties, material shortages always halt the project and is calling for support in the form of expedited payments, assistance with resources for the completion of the project .
